I am a software engineer by profession; however, I am a lover of all things food, nutrition, and health. I am currently expanding my knowledge into nutritional therapy and I think I already have a lot to offer in this regard. Throughout the years I have experimented with all sorts of ways of eating (woe). I have been on the standard American diet, vegetarian, vegan, low carb-low fat-high protein and am currently eating a low carb-high fat-moderate protein diet. I have tried Body for Life, Weight Watchers, and South Beach (and really many more) and have had success and failures on each of these diets. What I have come to realize is that there is not a single answer or solution. Each body is different and our bodies change throughout our lives. The one thing that I keep coming back to is that food, in its whole form and not processed, is the basis for better health.
I want to use that information to help others find health through nutrition. I want to teach others how to use whole foods to get the most out of what they eat. I want to bring more awareness to the fact that how we eat can really help us to feel and perform better or worse.
As I was contemplating launching one more health and nutrition blog to the web I wondered, “what could I offer that isn’t already out there.” There are already so many amazing blogs and channels out there that provide so much useful and helpful information. What do I have that they don’t? Well, what they don’t have is my perspective and my experience and maybe that is just what someone else is looking for. Maybe I could help someone like me!
I am not sure exactly where I will take this, but you can follow me along this journey as I find where I fit. Where my experiences and perspective can go and be helpful. You in? Let’s do this!
